A Night at the West End – A Memorable Evening at Sherfield Park  Saturday 12th September 2026!

What happened when a chance meeting between our centre manager, Louise and local residents, David and his daughter Maisie, turned into an evening of West End magic? A truly memorable night at Sherfield Park Community Centre!

Our audience was treated to an incredible evening of songs from seventeen West End musicals, performed by a talented group of singers who all began their journeys as students of Theatre4Kids, Theatre school, based here at the centre. From Beetlejuice to Hamilton, and many other favourites, the evening’s programme showcased an impressive range of talent, enthusiasm and theatrical flair.

Some songs were designed to get the audience involved; it wasn’t long before the room was filled with singing, laughter and plenty of enthusiasm. The atmosphere was fun, friendly and full of energy, proving that you don’t need to travel to London to enjoy a taste of the West End!

The evening was made even more special by the amazing team of volunteers who helped bring it all together. Our Community Café volunteers provided a light supper of pizza and chips, while the bar, room set-up and all the behind-the-scenes arrangements were also volunteer-led.

A huge thank you to all the performers, Amelia, Edward, Emelia, Maisie and Mila, David, for comparing the evening, Julia Walton, Director of Theatre4Kids for the music and every volunteer who helped make ‘A Night at the West End’ such a success. It was a wonderful example of what can happen when local talent, community spirit and a little bit of serendipity come together.
