We have 2 regular craft groups at the community centre.

The Fabric & Threads group meet on Wednesday mornings, from 10.00 and 12.00. We bring along projects we are working on, ranging from simple knitting to complex quilting – basically anything that uses fabric and/or threads. The great thing is that we share ideas and get to try – or at least appreciate – a much wider range of skills, and get tips from one another when we are struggling with a pattern or technique.

On Friday mornings between 10.00 and 12.00 we have a general craft group where we also mainly bring along our own projects. Our members have widespread interests and we all benefit from sharing ideas, skills and techniques. We have a good supply of papercraft and card-making tools and materials on hand, including stamps and dies. Thanks to demonstrations by our members we have, in recent years, had the opportunity to try various new crafts including mosaics, canvas clock-making, creating foam flowers, jewellery-making and encaustic art.

All are welcome to come to one or both of our groups, have a chat and a cup of tea or coffee and craft along with us. All we ask is a £1 donation to the Community Centre.
