Sherfest 2026 will certainly be remembered as one of the highlights of the year – and as our 12th Sherfest, we think it’s fair to say it was the best one yet! The event was oficially opened by the Mayor, and Parish Council Chair.
With glorious sunshine from start to finish, the perfect weather brought fabulous crowds to Sherfield Park Community Centre, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many families, friends and neighbours coming together to enjoy everything Sherfest had to offer.
Food lovers were spoilt for choice, with delicious offerings from Will’s Meals, Bartletts, Mobile Desert Bar and An Honest Crust, keeping everyone well fed throughout the day. Our bar proved equally popular, serving a great selection of locally produced real ales and ciders.
There was plenty to see and do for all ages. Visitors were amazed by the spectacular demonstrations from Aerial Fitness and the colourful displays by Kites of Wessex. Families climbed aboard the interactive ambulance with Resus i Ani learning valuable lifesaving skills, while Natural Basingstoke fascinated visitors with its incredible collection of animal skulls, insects and bugs.
Animal lovers enjoyed meeting the friendly residents from Mill Farm Cottage, while budding performers had the chance to learn circus skills with Juggling Jake. The infectious rhythms of the Drum Runners encouraged everyone to join in and make some noise, adding even more energy to the festival.
The festival field was packed with a wonderful variety of stalls, from handmade crafts and delicious fudge to local charities and community groups. The ever-popular tombola and our Grand Raffle generated plenty of excitement throughout the day, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Sherfest simply wouldn’t happen without the incredible support of our volunteers, stallholders, performers, sponsors and everyone who came along to enjoy the day. Thank you to every single person who helped make Sherfest 2026 such a tremendous success.
We’re already looking forward to Sherfest 2027 – if this year’s event is anything to go by, it’s going to be another fantastic day for our community!
